Rolling Stone Best Albums of all Time #1 Marvin Gaye - What's Going On

So I think one of the reasons that this album made it to the top is because it is, by far, Marvin Gaye's best album and a lot of the other contenders for the top spot are from bands that have several albums that split the vote between those several albums. For example, one could make the argument that the Beattles have several albums that might top the list; Sgt. Pepper, Abby Road, The White Album, Rubber Soul etc. The same is true of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and a number of other bands. Don't worry, all of these artists have SEVERAL albums that made the top 50. They just missed out on the number 1 spot.
This is not to throw shade on Marvin Gaye's - What's Going On. It is a great album and certainly deserves contention for the top 50, but number 1 ??
