I was playing Minecraft in my regular survival world and wanted to figure out how to build a gothic arch. Well I stumbled across a content creator named Shells124 and she was illustrating the basics of building a gothic cathedral. I was hooked. I followed her basic outline but she does not do a complete tutorial on building the whole cathedral.

I did a little research about the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. to kind of check on the architectural feasibility of what I came up with. Specifically I wanted to know the width of spans that could be supported by the columns in my build. I wanted to have a large open space without supports between the Nave and the Chior. From what I can see in the plans for the National Cathedral, what I have built IS feasible.

I will be posting some short videos from time to time to illustrate my progress on MY cathedral.
