Dirk is back. In a puff of orange smoke, of a check-in desk at London Heathrow Airport disappears but what does this or the dispute with his landlady over the fillthy refrigerator, have to do with the murder of his latest client? Nothing apparently, but this is DIRK GENTLEY and he is convinced to his core of the interconnectedness of all things. In fact this very review could be a vital clue in the mystery of this seemingly unsolvable murder. One thing seems to be apparent, the disappearance of the check-in desk was an "act of God", but which God? Dirk has his suspicions but they are only confirmed when one particular God burst forth from his disused refrigerator.

Full of all the silliness that Adams fans love and all of the twisted, but internally consistant logic only Adams can imagine, it is a mad romp and an utter joy to read.
